Tina Bennett

Tina Bennett, MPA is a healthcare executive with more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in organizational development, strategic planning, and patient-centered care. Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Tina has deep roots in the local community and a longstanding commitment to serving the region through both her professional and civic engagement. She currently serves as Chief Experience Officer for Yale New Haven Health, where she leads enterprise-wide strategies to enhance the patient and family experience across a large integrated health system. Her portfolio includes oversight of patient relations, volunteer services, spiritual care, and language services, ensuring a coordinated and equitable approach to care delivery. Tina began her career at Yale New Haven Health in 2005 and has advanced through progressive leadership roles, including Director of Patient Transport, where she led a team of more than 200 staff. She later expanded her leadership scope to system-wide patient experience strategy and culture transformation, consistently driving improvements in engagement, quality, and service excellence across the organization. In 2019, she was appointed System Director for Patient Experience, leading enterprise alignment of experience strategies across clinical and operational areas. In 2022, she assumed her current role as Chief Experience Officer, where she continues to advance a culture of compassion, accountability, and excellence across the health system. A proud alumna of Southern Connecticut State University, Tina earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications and remains deeply engaged with the university community. She currently serves as an undergraduate instructor in healthcare studies at SCSU, where she teaches, mentors, and supports students preparing for careers in healthcare. This role reflects her commitment to giving back to her alma mater and investing in the next generation of professionals. Tina also holds a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from the University of New Haven. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to service, education, leadership development, and strengthening the communities she calls home. She brings to the SCSU Alumni Board a strong connection to the university, extensive healthcare leadership experience, and a lifelong commitment to New Haven and its surrounding communities. Grounded in the belief in “being the change we want to see,” Tina leads with collaboration, purpose, and a commitment to meaningful impact.
