Dr. Tonia Ann Walker is an accomplished accounting professional and educator with over 20 years of experience in higher education. Her career spans a range of leadership and administrative roles, including Comptroller, Executive Director, Grants Director, and Consultant within her field. A proud alumna of Southern Connecticut State University, Dr. Walker has served the institution in multiple capacities, including Administrator and Adjunct Professor. She has also held roles as an instructor, adjunct, and associate faculty member across several institutions, teaching in traditional, online, and hybrid learning environments. Dr. Walker is deeply committed to organizational effectiveness and workforce development. Her doctoral research on employee engagement has been published and reflects her dedication to improving workplace performance, leadership practices, and institutional outcomes. She continues to expand her expertise through conferences, professional development, and active membership with the American Association of University Professors (AAUP). Dr. Walker is eager to contribute her extensive knowledge, leadership experience, and commitment to excellence in service as a board member of Southern Connecticut State University.
