Meet our Alumni Association Board
Sarah Belden ’14, MS ’16
Sarah is a proud two-time Southern graduate of the Department of Recreation, Tourism, and Sport Management (BS 2014 and MS 2016) and was a four-year member of the women’s volleyball team. She is excited for the opportunity to give back and help continue to grow the Southern experience for current and future students along with the ever-growing alumni base.
Professionally, Sarah has been involved in fundraising/development since graduation, with over 8 years of experience in the higher education sector.
She is currently the Director of Foundation Initiatives at the University of Rhode Island Foundation and Alumni Engagement. Previously, she has served Rutgers University Foundation, Harvard Business School, North Carolina State University, and the Loomis Chaffee School, supporting Annual Giving, Donor Relations, and Advancement Operations. She finds great joy in this work and being able to help others receive an education that otherwise might not be possible.
Sarah currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
