Jacquelynn Garofano ’06
Governance Committee Co-Chair
Dr. Jackie Garofano is an innovative, mission-driven technology leader whose decorated career evolved from deep technical expertise at RTX to strategic leadership roles at CCAT and now Microsoft. As a Mission Account Executive, she partners with RTX and the Defense Industrial Base to advance mission-critical outcomes thru secure cloud, cyber, AI and data-driven innovations. A passionate first-gen STEMinist, Jackie is committed to empowering our next generation of future leaders.
Dr. Garofano’s career has been marked with numerous accolades: a 3X Women of Innovation®, 2X “40 Under 40” honoree, received national
recognition from the Society of Women Engineers with the 2020 Spark Award for mentorship, was inducted into the UCONN College of
Engineering’s Academy of Distinguished Engineers, has published a dozen technical papers, holds three US patents and is the co-host of
the SHE SAID IT Podcast™.
Dr. Garofano earned her bachelor’s in physics with honors from Southern Connecticut State University, and master’s and doctoral
degrees in materials science and engineering from the University of Connecticut. In addition to her service to the Foundation Board, she
is also a board member of NE FIRST® and ReadyCT’s Industrial Advisory Board.
